Track Notes

The point of documenting this (r)amble is to introduce the Canberra Bushwalking Club’s RU⇧4it personal challenge to bag 26 hills/trigs in 26 weeks, each beginning with a different letter of the alphabet. You can check out the challenge here.

I was last in this area on 6 Nov 22.

A large group of 19 walkers, including 5 guests, gathered. No doubt we were all desperate for at least some sort of evening walk.

We wandered up Tuggeranong Hill via the fire trail at varying paces. Regathered at the top and shared snacks as we watched the showers on the Namadgi hills to the SW. Returned to the saddle and took the footpad paralleling a drainage line down to the base fire trail and so back to the start.

7 walkers braved the showers to continue up to the first of the Theodore Hills, down to the saddle between the two knolls and south down to a fire trail taking us back to our cars.

Great to catch up with old friends and walk with new ones. Thanks all. You have a ‘T’.

All CBC members and guests are very welcome to come and bag a named hill or trig. At the time of writing there are 20 more trips on the CBC activity program, ranging from evening rambles to multi-day local and interstate trips. More are added almost every day. There’s something for everybody, so RU⇧4it?
