Documentation:
• Brindabella NP and SCA Management Plan: Little remains of Coree Hut that was built in the 1950s to provide shelter for fire and forestry crews in the area.
• In July 2016 I was contacted by Alan, who kindly provided photos of Coree Hut in the early 1970s. “I was on a scouting mission for a early motorcycle club enduro, me and my mate were on one bike and rode webbs spur to flea creek, Webbs spur was overgrown at the time. It was snowing the day we pushed through to flea creek, very cold! Spent 2 or 3 nights at the hut. Probably stayed 10 nights total over a couple of years. The traffic increased dramatically after about 75, about the time new hv power lines went into the region and 4wd became popular. I did not return after about 75. If I met another person riding the trails in the early seventies there was a good chance I knew them.”
