Budjan Galindji Nature Reserve

The Budjan Galindji Nature Reserve is located in the Gungahlin suburb of Franklin, bounded by Flemington Rd on the east, Well Station Drive on the south, Amy Witting St and Nancy Cato St on the west and Christina Stead St in the north.

Naming: The Ngunnawal language name Budjan Galindji means ‘water bird’ in English – a recognition of the migratory Latham’s Snipe (Gallinago hardwickii) that visit the reserve’s ephemeral wetlands. Budjan Galindji is pronounced boo-jarn garl-in-jee.
