Track Notes
This was the second of the Canberra Bushwalking Club’s daylight savings after work walks for the season. These walks are just perfect for maintaining balance in life and, at under 2 hours, don’t detract from family, work and home life. They are usually on Monday and Thursday evenings and you can find out where and when via the CBC public access Activity Program (refreshed monthly around the second Wednesday of the month).
Three of us had come from the south side of Canberra and beyond, and we weren’t going to let a little shower (or heavy thunderstorm) deter us. It’s marvellous what can be gained as long as one has a positive attitude.
A simple walk on well worn track and fire trial. But we each released some feel good endorphins, enjoyed great conversation, tested our wet weather gear (be it coat, jacket or umbrella) and made new friendships. Lovely evening light when it wasn’t pouring, kangas grazing on the open meadows and heaps of wild flowers. Oh … and a geocache, GC4GQD2 Majura Meadow.
