Tuesday 30 April 2024: Rob Roy Nature Reserve – S/M. My intention is to locate 3 geocaches that are in the Rob Roy Nature Reserve whilst also visiting a historical site, the Black and White copper mine. And there is more; including a short walk up a creek or two, one creek with a really big waterfall. Also views from some of the high spots within the nature reserve.

Trip Report
I was last up Rob Roy Creek on 25 Jul 17.
Waking at 9.00am. The walk may seem aimless from the map, but Roger had several fancy geocaches in mind for which I do not qualify. A leg S then SE up to the Black and White Mine.
Then generally contouring south-ish across a couple of gullies.
Heading down to Rob Roy Creek we encountered a band of high shrubs. Andrea could hardly see over the top of them.
We joined the creek.
A great time following it up.
In amongst his special caches, Roger kindly allowed the search for beginner caches for me. Logged GC9VW4N RobRoy’s Roar and GC9VW4Q RobRoy’s Rift.
We took a detour up another creek for smoko, then over the spur back to Rob Roy Creek at the bottom of the waterfall.
Up to the open country, North to the vehicle track, down it a bit and down off the side to the cars.
A nice little round with a bit of everything. Thanks Roger and all.
Party
5 walkers – Mike B, Andrea C, Roger E (leader), Di McD, me.
