Track Notes

I last did this walk on 29 Mar 14.

I am so fortunate (in my world view, blessed) to have so many friends. Since my recent little tumble, I’ve had so many well wishes for a speedy recovery. Not only from family, church and bushwalking friends, but from Facebook acquaintances that I’ve never met.

Today, Richard H offered to take me on a little stroll on the Bradleys Creek Walk, when he could have been enjoying the depths of Namadgi. I still can’t drive, so I was picked up from home, walked and returned.

We were walking by 8.30am. Small pack, walking shoes, arm still in sling for me. The AllTrails reviews warn of a few ups and downs, with only a little flat. Heaps better than walking around Point Hut Pond, or around (not up) Tuggeranong Hill.

My leader would not let me stop as we climbed above the dam.

A few meters off the fire trail we visited Gorman trig.

The track descended down towards Bradleys Creek with nice views.

Morning tea down at the ford. Ice still on the water in the shade.

The Queanbeyan River Fire Trail goes on for miles, but this little duck had had half of enough.

So we turned back, the inward downs turning into going back ups.

A short detour to cross the saddle dam.

Many thanks to my great mate Richard. So I’m back, in a wimpish sort of way.
