Goorooyarro Geocaching – Goorooyarro Preditor-proof Fence
On 25 May 18, I went geocaching in Goorooyarro Nature Reserve with Kambahkid. Entering via the Canberra Centenary Trail off Horse Park Drive, we immediately found the new animal-proof fence under construction. Kambahkid knew the location of a couple of the gates from a recent Canberra Bushwalking Club ramble in the area, but we were forced to detour by a couple of kilometers on one occasion.
I contacted Ms Betty Bettong (aka Dr Kate Grarock) and she kindly provided a gpx file of the area.
Caveats:
- As at early June 2018. Could be subsequent changes
- There were some waypoints in the file that I couldn’t interpret
- Stay clear of construction sites and workers
- caveat emptor.
