This walk was organised and led by Phillip S as a CBC walk:

Thursday 7 November: Black Mountain Hat Band - S/E. Meet 6.30, park at end of Frith St near electricity substation. Some distance from the top, there is a track around the mountain with 360 degree views. No need to book. So good to see Phillip S back walking and leading. This was a birthday walk more suitable for an old codger. Some Canberra Centenary Trail signage and guideposts in place since our last wander in this area on 19 Oct 13. A very pleasant stroll on Black Mountain with good company in the evening of a hot day. Plenty of young things running up and down the tracks. Where are all the Canberra obese - on their couches I guess.

Distance: 4.3km Climb: 240m. Time: 6.30 - 7.45pm (1hr 15 mins).
