19 September 2013 Navigation Refresher #7: GPSr and PC
Map: Walk Description This event was organised and led by me as part of the CBC Navigation Course: Thursday 19 September: Navigation Refresher #7: GPSr and PC. An evening looking at interfacing GPSr to PC. Use of digital mapping software (eg. OziExplorer, Garmin's BaseCamp) and maps (eg. NSW LPI TopoView digitised 1:25000 topo maps for PC, OZTopo vector maps for GPS) to plan, record and analyse trips. We'll also look at Google Earth and other software. Further Information This session is part of CBC's Navigation Refresher series run by Rob and Jenny H. Ideally, you should have completed sessions 1-6. Session #7 won't make much sense to you unless you've done sessions 5 and 6, or are familiar with the use of your GPSr. However, everyone is welcome.
