Getting There
This walk was organised and led by me to take a mate and his 17 month old son on a little wander in the bush. We left town around 9am. |
Walk
I'm not sure how many baby buggies have been pushed along the track to Square Rock, but one more was today. Perhaps I should be a little more careful with my 'rated suitable for baby buggy' assessment of tracks in the future. A biblical party of Andrew, James and John. However, being males we managed to scatter certain possessions the length of the track - a brightly coloured baby bottle and a small blue mitten. We're not too sure what the two ladies who arrived 10 minutes after us thought of all this, especially when they saw the empty baby buggy at the base of Square Rock. The Canberra fog broke into a blue-sky-with-cotton-wool-clouds day and the view from Square Rock was, as always, magic. Son, Dad and guide enjoyed the wander. Distance: 8.2km Climb: 250m. Time: 9.40am-1.05pm (call it 3.5hrs) with 45mins of breaks. KMZ file for Google Earth/Maps: Square Rock |
