I did this walk with my mate Peter B.  Drive from Weston Creek via the southern suburbs through Tharwa.  Turn right into Orroral Road just after the top of Fitz's Hill and drive past the Orroral Campground for a further 2.5km to the sign posted Nursery Swamp car park on the right of the road.  All sealed road, about 50 km and 1 hour's drive.

This walk is number 9 on the Namadgi National Park map, Walks on walking tracks.  It is rated as 8.5 km return (4 hours), but can be completed a little quicker than that if so desired.

We crossed the road from the car park, signed the walk register and followed the track up the hill.  Lovely dry eucalypt forest and large granite boulders.  As the track levelled out at the top the walking became easier and the forest a little wetter.

Nursery Swamp has great explanatory signage and the fen certainly can't be missed - it was like a green sea.  The track follows along its south-west edge and finally peters out.  We lunched on a knoll overlooking the green sea.

We retraced our steps to the car, passing native orchids.
